In many of our inner city public schools there has been a
troubling amount of violence, truancy, and low academic
performance. Many of the schools in low income neighborhoods
do not have the resources to correct some of the deficiencies. We
believe that negative behavior is a result of eating poorly,
harnessing negative emotions, stress, depression, and lack of
purpose. Negative behavior results in academic regression.


Moved to action, LoveLovingLove Inc. conducted a significant
amount of research into the philosophies that encourage
wellness and academic excellence. Based on our research and our experience with troubled youth, we have designed the
LoveLovingLove DeEscalation Room for the Philadelphia public schools.

 

The DeEscalation room has dual purpose. It was created
to improve quality of life and academic performance.
Each aspect of the room has been carefully and deliberately
crafted to synchronize the seven elements of holistic nutrition.
We recognize these as being:

Public schools spend a significant portion of their budgets to
make the schools safe from a small portion of disruptive
students. In Philadelphia, students that are suspended more than
once have a 50% chance of getting suspended again. Once
students are suspended more than 2x, the numbers begin to
plateau. This indicates that the suspensions are not working.
They are in fact hurting the student scholastically, and costing
the school financially. The money that is spent on security guards,
metal detection systems, cameras, and administration costs can
be redirected into resources to prepare students to meet the
NCLB requirements.
